How To Cleanse Your Spiritual Tools

Just purchased a new crystal or do you already own some and need to reset your intentions? Then perhaps you need to cleanse your crystals. This concept can be intimidating for many newcomers but ask any OG, crystal cleansing is easy and cost effective. Do you own pink Himalayan salt, sage, are you near the ocean, do you have eyesight, have you ever been outside in the morning or night. You're probably reading this and saying what the fu*k! Do I really have to do all this to clean some crystals? No, the truth is, these are the multiple different ways that you can effectively cleanse and set your stones.

Sage is a popular plant used to cleanse bad energy and negativity for centuries. The burning of this plant can be used to cleanse not only your home but your crystals as well. Best practice encourages placing the crystal in a bowl, lighting the sage and submerging the crystal into the smoke. Be sure to do this near an open window so that any negative energy released from the stone does not linger in your home.

The use of Pink Himalayan salt is also a popular cleansing method for your crystals. Don’t start tripping, you don’t have to travel to Pakistan to bottle your own salt. It’s sold right in the grocery store. All you have to do is put your salt in a jar and place your crystal in the salt jar for 24 hours. Once the 24 hours have passed dust away all salt particles and place your crystal outside for another 24 hours.

*If you prefer not to use Himalayan salt then you can use Rock Salt, Sea Salt, or good ol’ table salt*

The use of sunlight or moonlight is a powerful way to cleanse your crystals but be careful with sunlight. A prolonged amount of time under the sun, can cause you gem discoloration. Setting the stones under the moonlight is an awesome more gentle way to cleanse and activate your stone. Simply set the stone out at dawn and allow nature to do its work. When you rise collect your stone and carry on healing.

Putting your stones in the ocean is the most cost effective way to clean your stones. Unless you actually have to book a flight to get near some water, then you're spending a pretty penny and should just stick to one of the previous methods mentioned. For those of you who have easy access to an ocean then all you have to do is, cup your hands and place the crystal in the water and take it out after a minute or so.

FYI beach sand is a good alternative for ocean water.

The use of your eyesight is another cost effective means to cleanse your crystals. I know you're probably reading this and saying why she didn't mention this from the jump? I mean let's all be mindful and sensitive to others who do not have eyesight. Moment of respect please...1...2...3. Ok. So boom, all you have to do is visualize. Yes! Visualize a white light surrounding your crystal and set the intention for that light to transform any negative energy the stone is storing to positive energy. It sounds simple enough but you must concentrate and focus your intentions.

Whether it is sage, pink Himalayan salt, rock salt, sea salt, table salt, the ocean, or your eyesight it is of vital importance that you choose the method that resonates most with you. Start cleansing and don’t forget to share this post with someone who will also benefit.
